Yakima Roof Basket Review - 2016 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today in our 2016 Jeep Patriot, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Yakima Offgrid Roof Top Cargo Basket, part number Y07138-08.This basket mounts to the roof rack of your vehicle. It allows you to transport any cargo or sports and recreational gear on top of the roof of your vehicle, for any times where your vehicle might be full of other cargo, or family members, or if you have some sports gear that might be too muddy to put on the inside of your vehicle, it'll be nice to transport it up there until you get home and are able to wash it off.We'll go ahead and hop up here and I'll show you a little bit about the inside of it. As you can see, it's mounted down by four rubber-coated steel straps. These straps come up and under our crossbars, and they latch in right there. Once you do that, you just push it over just like that.Now, this is pretty loose right now, so we're gonna bring it back and tighten it down a bit using this blue little knob. We'll just spin it to the right just to tighten it down a bit more, so that way when we clamp it, it's a little bit tighter. more

Rola Roof Basket Review - 2017 Jeep Renegade- Video

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited, we're doing a test fit on the Thule Canyon XT Rooftop Cargo Carrier. Now this cargo carrier, as you can see, has a really unique design and it tapers off at both ends, gives us a more stylish or a more aerodynamic look than we get out of some carriers. This one that we have one the car measures 49" long by 40" wide. The part number is TH859XT. There's an extension that can be added in that'll give you an addition 20", so it'll 69" by 40". Rola Roof Basket Review - 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're in our 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited, we're taking a look and test fitting for you the Rola Vortex Rooftop Cargo Basket. Now this basket's designed to free up a lot of space for your passengers and pets inside of your vehicle. The one we have mounted here is part number 59504-EXT. That's a total basket length of 70 and 3/4 of an inch and it offers a 40.5 inch width. We also have this available without the extension which is added in right here. Curt Roof Basket Review - 2017 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2017 Jeep Cherokee we're doing a test fit of the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket. This is 41 1/2 inches long by 37 inches wide by four inches deep and has a 150 pound weight capacity. Although it does have that high weight capacity, you do want to check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. The part number for this is C18115. Now we already have all four of our spacers in place. We have three out of four of them secured down. more

Today on our 2017 Jeep Cherokee we're doing a test fit of the Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Cargo Basket. This is 47 inches long by 35 inches wide and has a 165 pound weight capacity. Although it does have a high weight capacity, you do want to double check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. We already have three of our four mounts secured down. We're going to show you how we do our back passenger's side one here. We've got our spacers and brackets in place. We have out first bracket, which is going to be a plastic one, that goes underneath the railing of our backset and over the top of our crossbars. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be doing a test fit on the Kuat Vagabond X Rooftop Basket and Bike Carrier. That's Part Number VX201-VX202. It's a perfect solution for freeing up space inside your vehicle for more passengers and pets. Today on our 2016 Jeep Renegade we're taking a look at the Reese Rooftop Cargo Basket. That part number is RP1391300. Now this is 44 by 35 inches. It has a 4 1/4 inch lip on the edge for your tie down points and has a weight capacity of 125 pounds. Today on our 2016 Jeep Compass, we'll begin doing a test fit of the Sports Rack Vista Mounting Cargo Basket. Part number is SR9035. This basket is 44 inches long, 39 and 1/8 inches wide, and can hold up to 110 pounds. I have 3 of the 4 hold downs on. I'll put the last one on now. With these hold downs, you have a spacer, that we already have here. We have a plate that sits on top, and we have 2 wing nuts. Put the plate on, put the u bolt on, and we'll get one of the wing nuts started. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sportrack Vista rooftop mounted cargo basket, part number SR9035. This cargo basket is going to be 44" long, 39 1/8" wide, have a depth of 6", and with its sturdy steel construction is going to offer 110 pound weight capacity. As you can see we've already got our two feet in the front assembled and in place as well as the back passenger side. I'm going to show you how to place in the driver side since they all go on the same way. First thing you want to do when you get your rack put on your vehicle is find out whatever your crossbar spacing is and place your spacers in between your crossbar and your basket like so. Next you will take your U shaped bracket with a nice protective rubber coating and place it underneath. more

You're going to have your spacer that's going to go between the bar as you can see there and we'll just adjust this just a little bit. Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon, this is going to be your rooftop mounted cargo basket. This is going to be part number TH859. It will be 49 inches long by 40 inches wide, 6 inches deep with a 150 pound weight capacity in this nice steel construction. As you can see we've already got our feet spread out but we don't have any feet pad or any of the clamps on yet because it is a pretty easy process to do so and we'll go through it all on how to get them all put on. The only thing we have done thus far was to get our, to unscrew this Allen bolts here and space out by sliding this feet to the appropriate bar spread that we have on the vehicle. For this vehicle we had a 32 inch bar spread. From center to center on these brackets we just space them out 32 inches and here is your end product. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today in the studio, we have a 2013 Jeep Patriot. We're going to do a quick test fit of the Yakima Load Warrior. This is a roof-mounted cargo basket, part number Y07070. Now as you can see, we already had the basket up onto our crossbars, which the roof rack system we have today is from Rhino-Rack, and what I went ahead and did is installed the back two clamps because it does take a little bit to install, not too much, but just a lot of turning of the knobs, so I just left these two uninstalled to give you a quick idea of how it goes on. You can see this T-bolt here on the other side, what you do is there's just a slot in this bracket that this T-bolt just goes down to, and then it'll twist like so, lock in place, and then you'll just tighten down on the nut. Like that and then that T bolt will twist and lock into place, and then we'll just tighten this down. Now, depending on your crossbar spread and what roof rack system that you have will depend on if this rack will actually work for you. Now the Jeep Patriot does have the arrow indicators from the manufacturer on the side rails, basically indicating where the recommended placement of your crossbars should be, and it looks like the rack is going to fit nicely for where the OEM marker indicators are, so it should be good, and I'll loosen this up a little bit and then basically I'm just going to repeat the same process that I did for the front clamp, just insert that T-bolt into that slot and then tighten her down. All right, and once everything is all tightened down, that will complete today's test fit of the Yakima Load Warrior Roof-Mounted Cargo Basket, part number Y07070 on our 2013 Jeep Patriot. more

Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2014 Jeep Cherokee we're going to be test fitting the Thule Moab. This is the mother of all baskets, part number TH690XT. Now we've got the Thule Rapid Crossroads roof rack system already installed onto the Cherokee and we've begun our test fit with one carriage bolt and wing nut removed from each of our clamps. As you can see, the one isn't here; it's not in here. Just a tip: I would recommend removing the same side from each of the four clamps. That's going to make installation a lot easier for you. We're going to grab our basket and we're going to place this right up onto our load bars. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2006 Jeep Liberty- Video
Today on our 2006 Jeep Liberty well be test fitting the Thule Moab Rooftop Cargo Carrier part number th690. Now to begin well simply place the Moab on top of our crossbars. Well then center it with the vehicle. We can then take the included hardware and run it underneath our crossbars and secure it using the wing nuts. Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2010 Jeep Compass- Video
Today on our 2010 Jeep Compass, well be test fitting the Thule MOAB part number TH690. Now to begin our test fit, weve already preassembled our basket to fit the load bars. So well simply place the basket on top of the load bars and center the basket with the vehicle. With the basket centered, well go ahead and use the hardware supplied with the MOAB to secure it to our load bars. With wing nuts tight, our basket is secured to the vehicle and were ready to load it up. The Thule MOAB rooftop cargo basket will add an additional 13 inches to the vehicles overall height. more

Today we have with us a 2012 Jeep Compass and well be test fitting the Thule MOAB Roof Mounted Cargo Basket part no. TH690. To mount the basket up on our roof, well place it on top of our load bars and slide it on. We wanna make sure that its centered from left to right. Once weve done that, we can swing the clamps around the load bars and use the wing nuts to tighten everything down. Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Alright, today on this 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee were going to do a test fit of the Thule Moab roof top cargo carrier part #: th690. Now, our Jeep has already been outfitted with a roof rack from Thule used in the Thule Aero Blaze. Were going to start off with our roof rack already assembled, so all we got to do is place it on the roof rack. Well also take a moment to make sure that its centered on the roof rack. Now, for this test fit thats what were going to do. However, if you want to put something on the side of it, like another bicycle rack, you can definitely move it as well, just move it to one side or the other. more
